New Girls Football Tournament - Champions Cup Girls Edition

2021 will mark the 25^th year of the Gold Coast Champions Cup, one of Australia’s most popular youth football tournaments. KPI Sports is proud to be the major sponsor of this fantastic competition with 2021 shaping up as an exciting year in the Cup’s history.  As well as the main competition being back bigger than ever, 2021 will see be the launch of a stand-alone Girl's Edition Champions Cup to be played in July 2021.

The Girl's Edition Champions Cup has been launched in response to the huge demand for high-quality girls’ football competition.  Host Club of the Champions Cup, Mudgeeraba Soccer Club has created the Girl's Edition concept, recognising the rapid growth in participation in female football across all age groups. 

President of Mudgeeraba Soccer Club, Paul Cameselle (pictured) said “we have seen an increasing need for offering top-quality competition for girls’ teams at all ages”.  He said “the creation of the July tournament was a natural progression” for the KPI Sports Gold Coast Champions Cup.

“We’re very excited to announce the Cup’s Girls Edition. We look forward to giving young female players the opportunity to showcase their talents against teams from across Australia and the Pacific. We also believe the Gold Coast will be a hugely attractive destination for Clubs during the winter months.” 

KPI Sports Managing Director Ella Bryan echoed Cameselle’s enthusiasm. “KPI Sports is a huge believer in sport for all and we’re thrilled to see the Girl’s Edition Champion’s Cup developed by our partners at Mudgeeraba SC. It will be a fantastic event”, she said.
