Partnership Announcement: Moreton City Excelsior

In an exciting move for Queensland football, two of the region’s most prominent clubs, Albany Creek Excelsior Football Club (ACE) and Moreton Bay United Football Club (MBU), have officially merged to create Moreton City Excelsior Football Club. This strategic decision, which had been formally endorsed by Football Queensland, signals the start of a new era of football excellence for the city of Moreton Bay. As the club embarks on this new journey, KPI Sports is proud to be a part of this transformation as the club’s official Apparel & Merchandise Supplier for the next three seasons.

The combination of ACE and MBU brings together a rich history of success, passion and dedication. The well-known youth development philosophy of these two clubs will be adapted and delivered to players of all ages and skill levels by Moreton City Excelsiors' new expanded technical team. By merging the former clubs’ strengths, resources and expertise, Moreton City Excelsior will offer its members a more substantial football club that will deliver an improved experience while ensuring a sustainable operational model for the future. The result will be a unified entity that offers a multitude of pathways through Senior, Youth and Community programs.

Ben Parkin, Chairman of Moreton Bay United, expressed his enthusiasm for the merger.

"The history of these two clubs will always remain at the heart of the new club, and I am really excited about what the future looks like for Moreton City Excelsior." This sentiment is echoed by ACE President Tony Dooley, who emphasized the extensive and collaborative work that went into this union, adding that it will undoubtedly benefit the members of both clubs.

With the merger set to take effect from 2024, Moreton City Excelsior will continue to field senior teams in the National Premier League (NPL) Queensland and Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL) competitions. This ensures that the club remains a dominant force in Queensland football, just as its predecessor clubs were individually.

KPI Sports has had the pleasure of working with both ACE and MBU for the past three years and is thrilled to be part of the next stage of growth for this football powerhouse. Under this new partnership between KPI Sports and Moreton City Excelsior, new playing and training kits will be designed for the club, as well as new club officials' uniforms and supporter merchandise.
