Partnership Announcement: Wanderers Football Club

KPI Sports proudly welcomes Wanderers Football Club as a partner club from 2023. The Sunshine Coast based club has appointed KPI Sports as its exclusive apparel and merchandise provider for the next three seasons.

Established in 1972 as Buderim Wanderers FC, the club attracts players and families from across the greater Sunshine Coast region. As one of the oldest and largest Sunshine Coast football club, the Wanderers have amassed a sizable number of premierships and accolades across its 50-year history.

In 2018 an exciting development at the club took place with the formation of Sunshine Coast Wanderers FC. Entering sides in the newly-formed Football Queensland Premier League Men’s (FQPL) and National Premier Leagues Queensland Women’s (NPL) competitions, it provided an opportunity for the club to compete at the elite level of football in the state.

Sunshine Coast Wanderers FC enjoyed success in 2019 with the Men’s team claiming the FQPL premiership and securing promotion to the top tier National Premier League Queensland. The club has remained to be a competitive outfit in the NPL and is looking forward to a strong 2023 season in both Men’s and Women’s competitions.

Buderim Wanderers FC continues to participate in the local Sunshine Coast Football zone, winning the Sunshine Coast Champion Club of the Year consecutively from 2013 to 2019. The club, via the Emerging Wanderers and Miniroos Programs, run skills academies and technical development programs aiming to enhance game growth in accordance with the Football Federation of Australia (FFA) curricula. The knowledge and experience acquired from the NPL competitions is funnelled through to all junior teams as reflected in their club vision:

“Providing a pathway for young players to progress from Miniroos and Skill Acquisition Programs through to NPL competitions and to prepare talented footballers for elite state, national and international pathways”.

In September and October of 2022, 60 Wanderers FC players toured British and Spanish cities, competing against notable European football clubs including Wrexham Football Club and Burnley Football Club. The Wanderers coaching crew visited the Manchester City Football Club and Liverpool Football Club facilities, soaking up the knowledge of the Premier League capital. An experience of a lifetime, Wanderers FC continuously displays intentions to expand their knowledge and integrate world class practices in their humble operations.

It is an exciting time for Wanderers FC and KPI Sports is thrilled to be working with the committee to provide a new playing and training range for its players plus club apparel for supporters. We wish all at Wanderers the very best of luck as it prepares for another great year in 2023.
